Having the right people to provide good quality care is an essential part on any care package, that's why at KAYLA Supported Living we spend a lot of time ensuring that we recruit the right type of person to care for you or your family member. All our staff members are vetted, CRB checked and go through a rigorous interview process with both existing staff and some of our existing service users. All our staff follow a detailed induction programme before being allowed to work with service users. Our staff receive regular supervisions and mentoring from senior care staff. Our manager also carries out regular quality assurance visits to clients, to ensure our high standards of care are being maintained. We are very proud of our staff and the way they work together as a team
Having the right set of skills and experience is important, but we believe this is not what sets us apart from other care providers. What makes our approach to care different is the personalities and characteristics that our carers have and the way they are able to communicate to make our service users feel at ease, we feel emotional care is equally as important as physical care.
Tailor Centered Care
Our carers come from a wide variety of backgrounds and almost all of them have previous experience working in the care sector and have a passion for working with the elderly. We understand that caring is also about forming relationships, that's why we pay particular attention to ensuring the right carer is matched to you and your family members requirements
Staff skills and abilities
In order to ensure that good quality care is provided, all staff undergo safeguarding, food hygiene, manual handling and customer service training as part of their induction, as well as undertaking the national induction standards training for carers. Some of our staff have chosen to undertake specialist training in areas such as dementia and palliative care.
All Care Staff will be appropriately qualified to deliver the highest standards of care. A continuous staff-training programme is implemented to ensure that these high standards are maintained in line with the lastest developments in the Care Practices as may be laid down in appropriate Legislation, Regulations and the Care Quality Commission (CQC).
